You must have:
A good backpack, tent, polifoam, a warm sleeping bag, an used boots, warm clothing
(Gore-Tex, Simpatex, if possibble). Is good to have additional clothes in case of
bad weather. Is very important to take with you just the bare necessites because additional
kilos of equipment will make tracking more difficult.
Lodging and meal:
Usually we will sleep in tents and wash with cold mountain spring water.
We recommend that you take nutritious and not easily perishable food, like cheese, sausages,
salami, liver paste, parched fruits, chocolate, glucose. We do not recommend canned and bottled
products. Some little quantities of alcohol can be bought in hostels.
Occasional problems:
We can't guarantee that we will have all of our scheduled daily trips. We can miss some of them
due to bad weather or other causes (like snowfall in Fogaras, etc.). On our latest trips we
didn't encounter such problems. Everyone will join the trips on their own responsibility and
the guides are allowed to make changes to the trips if they consider it necessary. These changes
are compulsory because they view the whole group’s safety.
Fitness and age:
Everyone who is in good shape can join our trips. Our daily trips have an average of
6h of tracking with 800m elevations to beat, they are designed for average people, but they
aren't easy forest walks. Recommended age: between 18 and 50 years.
Cooper test:
The table below shows the distances after 12 minutes of activity. Women should take 95% of
the values. We recomend to have at least medium level fittness for join our trips.
